AEP Texas representatives plan to rebuild the remaining 2 miles of a power line near Alice. Crews rebuilt 35 miles of the power line in 2019. Replacing the remaining wooden poles from 1928 with modern steel poles helps improve the lines operational performance and area reliability.
Right-of-way agents began communications to landowners about preliminary field activities this Fall 2021. Field crews are beginning soil and environmental surveys which are required by state and federal laws. Some additional easement boundary surveys are planned to occur in the next several weeks as well.
